Criteria for Certification

CPCACC CANDIDATE CERTIFICATION, INSTITUTIONAL CERTIFICATION, COMPREHENSIVE CERTIFICATION, and ADVANCED CERTIFICATION certifications are based on the best practices of higher education.

The criteria for private faith-based certification mirrors the accreditation criteria used by accrediting commissions approved by the US Department of Education(USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

The CPCACC Certification Commission examines the Administrative and Academic Programs of private faith-based institution.

INSTITUTION WITH INSTITUTIONAL CERTIFICATION (1-3 Years).

CANDIDATE CERTIFICATION institutions of the CPCACC Certification Commission develop a Self-Study that focuses on meeting the standards of Administration and Academics.

Following a successful review of the Self-Study is a required Site Visit comprised of Commission Staff and representatives from Commission Institutions.

A successful Site Visit results in INSTITUTIONAL CERTIFICATION by the CPCACC Certification Commission. The duration for CPCACC INSTITUTIONAL CERTIFICATION is from 1 – 3 years. The Annual Institutional Report is due during INSTITUTIONAL CERTIFICATION.

INSTITUTION WITH ADVANCED CERTIFICATION (10 Year).

Institutions with CPCACC Comprehensive Certification can choose to develop an Advanced Self-Study that focuses on meeting advanced standards of Administration and Academics.

Following a successful review of the Self-Study a Site Visit comprised of Commission Staff and representatives from Certified Institutions is required.

A successful Site Visit results in Advanced Certification by the CPCACC Certification Commission. The duration for Advanced Certification is 10 years. The Annual Institutional Report is due during Advanced Certification.
